Wednesday, September 27 "Reception at the conference venue"
On the evening of the first day, Wednesday, September 27, all participants of SISPAD2023 (including accompanying person) will be invited to a reception at the conference venue (Ariston Hotel Kobe, 16F “Barcelona”). In addition to buffet-style foods and drinks, you can also enjoy the live performance of traditional Japanese music by the members of "Kobe University Japanese Traditional Music Club".
Thursday, September 28 "Night Cruise Session"
On the second day of SISPAD 2023, Thursday, September 28, after the poster
session (15:00-16:30), all participants of SISPAD2023 (including accompanying
person) will be invited to board a cruise ship for a 40-minute night cruise
session. During this night cruise session, participants will be able to continue
their discussions in a relaxed atmosphere while enjoying the night view of
Kobe.
No additional registration or fee (other than the registration for SISPAD2023)
is required to attend this night cruise session.
No foods or drinks will be provided by the conference on board, but you may
bring your own food and beverages.
The schedule of the night cruise sessions is as follows:
・16:30 (tentative): Get together at the conference venue. After the Poster
Session (15:00-16:30), all participants who wish to attend the night cruise
session will be directed to board chartered buses at the conference venue.
・16:50 (tentative) - 17:30: Bus transfer to the
embarkation point of the cruise
ship "Royal Princess" at Kobe port (beside Kobe Port Tower).
・17:45: Departure of the cruise ship "Royal Princess" from the port.
・18:30: Return to the embarkation point of the cruise ship at Kobe port, and the
tour will be disbanded there.
(Please note that disbanding point is not the conference venue.)
After returning to the port, the tour will be disbanded (no chartered buses back
to the conference venue will be provided), but since the area around the port
(beside Kobe Port Tower) is one of the most popular sightseeing areas in Kobe,
you can still enjoy the sightseeing and dinner around this area (especially in
the Harborland-Mosaic area), where a Ferris wheel is
also
available. In
addition, you can also enjoy the walk to Sannomiya Station (main station of
Kobe), which is approximately 30 min by walk from the disbanding point of the
tour (embarkation point of the cruise ship). Along the way to Sannomiya Station
and in the surrounding area, there are many attractive spots such as Chinatown
(Nankin-machi), shopping streets, shrines, etc...
If you stay in the hotel near the conference venue, please take a train (Port
Liner) at Sannomiya station.
# Kobe Port Tower is now under renovation (until spring, 2024). But you can
still enjoy the art projection at night.
# Please note that the night cruise session is subject to cancellation due to
weather condition.
